I was born and raised in Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. I have always wanted to leave an impact on the Earth by touching the world problems in a way that I could contribute to the wellness of all living creatures. Carrying a great sense of ethics in its scope, environmental engineering was the best option for me to start my career to achieve my goals. After completing my bachelor in Environmental Engineering at Middle East Technical University, I completed my Master's on Hydrogeology with an emphasis on groundwater flow modeling applied to understand a real case groundwater problem. During my master education, I was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship, which is one of the prestigious awards in the academic world. Following that, in August 2018, I moved to the USA to broaden my profession in Hydrogeology and started my PhD in Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, I am working under the supervision of Professor M. Bayani Cardenas.
